Gane and Volkov have fought once before in 2021, where the Frenchman scored the victory via unanimous decision. Gane dominated the fight in the eyes of the judges winning the fight 50-45 on two scorecards and 49-46 on the third.

Despite Volkov putting together a four-fight win streak knocking off high ranked heavyweight contenders, Adam Catterall is backing the fight to go the same way as the first with Gane winning the fight via decision.
