Leon Edwards v Belal Muhammad 2 Odds: Briton 5/2 for knockout victory

UFC 304's main event sees Leon Edwards defend his welterweight title for the third time in a rematch against Belal Muhammad at Co-op Live in Manchester.

This latest meeting between Edwards and Muhammad will hopefully prove a compelling spectacle following a frustrating outcome to their original bout in March 2021, with their first clash ruled a no contest after the American was struck with an accidental eye poke.

Britain's Edwards enjoyed a lot of success in the initial bout prior to its stoppage and will be out to prove his superiority over Muhammad in decisive fashion at UFC 304.

UFC welterweight champion Edwards is at the peak of his powers at present, with two sensational wins over the previously dominant Kamaru Usman followed up by a shutout points victory over Colby Covington.

The Birmingham native looked to have the beating of Muhammad on the feet in their first meeting in Las Vegas, but the American is dangerous on the ground and has become a more well-rounded fighter over the past three years.

A tremendously technical operator, Edwards certainly has the capability to knock Muhammad out, but the Brit has been somewhat reticent to go all out for the finish in his UFC career to date.

As the champion faced with an awkward challenger with a strong ground game in the form of Muhammad, Edwards may be wise to seek to stick it on the American and look to get him out of there as opposed to being drawn into a gruelling five-round contest.
