The event is the first to take place in the city since UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Tybura in November 2017, which was also at the arena.

Three more victories in the Middleweight division came before a shock defeat to Alex Pereira in November 2022, which saw the Nigerian lose his belt.
Adesanya reclaimed the Middleweight title with a win over Pereira in April of this year.
Sean Strickland has a professional MMA record of 27 wins and five losses from 32 fights. 11 of his wins have come by way of knockout, four by submission and 12 by decision.
The 32-year-old won his first UFC bout in March 2014 over Bubba McDaniel before losing out to Santaigo Ponzinibbio in 2015.
Strickland bounced back with three wins in a row before losing to Kamaru Usman and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in the space of three fights.
Tarzan then reeled off six wins on the spin, including victories over Brenan Allen, Uriah Hall and Jack Hermansson.
