The two-time heavyweight champion of the world announced his exit from the sport in the immediate aftermath of his unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk in December.

Firing a cryptic Dick Turpin jibe on social media when dropping his latest boxing bombshell, it had appeared as though the British boxing great had partaken in his last pro bout, having been beaten by the Ukrainian for a second time.

However, with Fury having previously shelved apparent retirement plans, many in the sport took his shock announcement at the turn of the year with a pinch of salt.

Rumours of an impending return have been fuelled in recent weeks by social media clips of Fury back in training, whilst he got tongues wagging further when he posted a video of himself alongside esteemed Kronk trainer SugarHill Steward last month.

And now, Goldstar Promotions' Brown, who has held a long-term management deal with the 36-year-old, has suggested an official announcement could be imminent.

He's just bought a new pair of boxing boots, so what does that tell you!

"I was with him the other day, he is enjoying himself. He went to Scotland, had a great time, enjoyed a couple of Guinness', but my word, he looks in good nick.

"He has just bought a new pair of boots as I say and some new boxing shorts too.

"You'll all know soon enough, but he has given everyone a little bit of an appetiser, a little starter."

Speaking to iFL TV, Brown added: "We'll see, but all good things come when they are ready!"

Talk of a long-mooted showdown with Anthony Joshua has regained momentum over the past couple of weeks, despite 'AJ's' admission that he is set to go undergo surgery to fix a troublesome elbow issue.

The Matchroom star has revealed that he would likely be ready to resume his career towards the latter part of the year, with December having been speculated as a potential date for a clash with his long-term heavyweight rival.

It remains to be seen whether Fury would jump straight back into the deep end against the two-time heavyweight champion, or undertake a war,m-up fight in the summer.

Either way, it appears as though fight fans won't have too long to wait until they find out the Gypsy King's next move.
