The super fight, which was officially announced earlier this month, was originally scheduled to take place at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on Friday 12th September.

However, those plans have since been altered with the fight date now being shifted back 24 hours.

Additionally, Alalshikh has also confirmed that four other stadiums in Sin City, Los Angeles and New York, in addition to the 72,000 capacity home of the Las Vegas Raiders, are being explored as potential fight venues.

The hugely-anticipated showdown between two of the most revered fighters in boxing history looked set to be screened on live-streaming giant Netflix, with the US-based organisation having previously played host to Jake Paul's victory over Mike Tyson last year.

Speculation has been mounting in recent weeks that the platform have agreed a long-term deal with Alalshikh and Dana White to host their upcoming venture, the Saudi TKO Boxing League, with the expectation being that Netflix would also house Canelo v Crawford.

But, that notion has subsequently been thrown up in the air on the back of Alalshikh's overnight announcement.

Canelo and Crawford - both ranked in Ring Magazine's current pound-for-pound top 10 - agreed to a colossal undisputed super-middleweight showdown earlier this month after the four-weight Mexican world champion eased past Cuban contender William Scull in Saudi Arabia.

The fight marked Canelo's first dust-up since inking a four-fight agreement with Riyadh Season, but whilst it proved a lacklustre affair, the victory teed up a mouthwatering bout with unbeaten American operator Crawford.

The Nebraska native who, like Canelo, has won titles in four different weight classes will be jumping up two divisions as he gets set to tackle the biggest challenge of his professional career to date.
