Turki Alalshikh controversially confirms 'big plans' for Hamzah Sheeraz and Shakur Stevenson

Turki Alalshikh insisted that he has 'big plans' for both Sheeraz and Shakur Stevenson in a controversial 'X' post.

Saudi Supremo Turki Alalshikh is rarely shy of saying how he feels, and rarely unsuccessful in getting what he wants, taking boxing to new heights since entering the scene.

Alalshikh took to ‘X’ to controversially outline his feelings ahead of Shakur Stevenson vs William Zepeda Segura and Edgar Berlanga vs Hamzah Sheeraz.

I will be very upset if Berlanga and Zepeda knock out Sheeraz and Shakur. We have big plans for Sheeraz and Shakur, and this result would be a complete disaster...!

Stevenson v Zepeda and Berlanga v Sheeraz is set to take place on the same card at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York in the early hours of 13th July.

Shakur Stevenson entered the ring with electrician turned boxer Josh Padley in Februay 2025, and despite a nervy first few rounds, he recorded a TKO victory in round nine. The betting odds suggest the 27 year old is expected to come out of the upcoming fight unscathed, much to the delight of Alalshikh.

That said, he is facing a Zepeda who boasts a vastly impressive 33-0 record, entering this fight off the back of two consecutive victories over Tevin Farmer.

Meanwhile, Sheeraz will head into this bout off the back of a split decision draw against Carlos Adames back in February, while his opponent Berlanga was triumphant in a first round knockout victory against Jonathan Gonzalez Ortiz in March.

Prior to that, Berlanga’s only defeat came against the legendary Canelo Alvarez, lasting 12 rounds with the Mexican in a unanimous decision loss that will only give Berlanga confidence moving forward.

Turki Alalshikh has contentiously stated what he hopes will happen in New York on 13th July, but both Berlanga and Zepeda will be out to disappoint the Saudi bank-roller.
