The Reds, meanwhile, were well beaten at Brighton, going down 3-0 to the Seagulls to drop down to ninth place in the standings.
Prior to their draw in their initial meeting, Liverpool had won the previous seven meetings of these two sides, although that run started after a 2-1 Wolves victory at Molineux in the third round of the FA Cup in January 2019.
Jurgen Klopp will expect a big response from his players and Liverpool are 5/2 in the Result/Both Teams To Score market.

Napoli have enjoyed a season to remember so far, with their 5-1 weekend drubbing of Juventus seeing them power nine points clear at the top of the Serie A table.
On Tuesday evening they are in action in the Coppa Italia, when they play host to Serie A basement side Cremonese, whose only wins this season have come in the cup against Ternana and Modena.
Il Partenopei have only suffered two defeats all season - to Liverpool in the Champions League and Inter Milan in the league - and can be backed at 6/5 To Win to Nil.
Luciano Spalletti has his side on course for a first Scudetto since 1990, but Napoli lifted the Coppa Italia as recently as 2020, when they won a penalty shootout against Juve after the final ended goalless.
