10:30 - Manchester City Star Joao Cancelo joins Bayern Munich in shock loan move

In what could go down as one of the biggest shocks of the transfer window, Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo has joined Bayern Munich on loan for the remainder of the season - with the German side having the option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Cancelo had established himself as one of Pep Guardiola’s key players last season but has struggled for consistent minutes since returning from the World Cup, acting as an unused substitute in the Citizen’s last three games.

With the ability to play on both flanks, as well as being comfortable in central positions, Cancelo will be a dangerous weapon in Bayern’s arsenal, and his input couldn’t be coming at a better time with Julian Nagelsmann’s side winless since the World Cup.

10:30 - Newcastle sign Harrison Ashby from West Ham

Newcastle’s transfer business under Eddie Howe has been close to faultless so far and they have completed another shrewd piece of business – bringing Scottish right-back Harrison Ashby to Tyneside.

Eddie Howe sees Ashby as a top talent, both now and for the future, and his new man looks an excellent long term replacement for Kieran Trippier.

10:00 - Arsenal agree fee for Jorginho

It's sure to be one of the more surprising moves of the day, but with the Moises Caicedo move presumably not going ahead, Arsenal appear to be looking at a stopgap option in Jorginho, offering the midfielder an 18-month deal.

The Chelsea man has featured regularly for the Blues this season, but with his contract expiring in the summer, and the Italian set to leave, the Stamford Bridge club have looked to cash in early, with Arsenal reportedly agreeing a £12m fee, with Jorginho set to offer more depth in midfield behind Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.

11:00 - Moises Caicedo asks to leave Brighton

Moises Caicedo has undoubtedly been one of the breakout stars of the season, attracting attention from some of the Premier League's biggest clubs, with Arsenal stepping up their pursuit for the midfielder, already having a £60m bid rejected.

The 21-year-old shared a post on Instagram late on Friday night expressing his gratitude to the club, as well as expressing his desire to leave, saying: "I am grateful to Mr. Bloom and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and with heart.

"I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador. My dream always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.

"I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.

"The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity."

Brighton have since reportedly told Caicedo to take a few days off until the closing of the transfer window, recognising the player's head has been turned by the interest shown in him, but insisting the player is not for sale.

Whether Brighton can hang on to Caicedo or whether Arsenal will increase their bid and pry him away from the south coast remains to be seen, but it's quickly developing into one of the biggest stories of the January transfer window.

15:46 - Newcastle agree deal with Everton for Anthony Gordon

Big-spending Newcastle have been quiet so far in the January window, but have made a splash with the move to bring Anthony Gordon to Tyneside.

The 21-year-old caught the eye in a breakthrough season on Merseyside with four goals and two assists as Everton secured survival in the penultimate match of the season against Crystal Palace.

While Gordon hasn't quite been able to replicate that form this season, that may be down to the team's struggles as a whole , and Eddie Howe will be keen to harness the winger's potential following a £45m move.

“Ings did manage to bag 6 for Villa despite only playing 90 minutes on three occasions this season and he could be key to keeping the Hammers up with David Moyes’ side taking just 1 point from their last 21 and their relegation odds plummeting from 33/1 into 4/1 with the small matter of Everton at home this weekend.”

For a while it looked like Arsenal or Manchester United would be the ones securing Joao Felix's signature, but with Chelsea losing ground in the race for the top four, the Blues have moved to sign the Portuguese on loan until the end of the season.

Tuesday 10th January

12:00 - Top 10 January transfers

Should Enzo Fernandez make the move to Chelsea in the January window, he wouldn't just be one of the biggest winter signings in the Premier League, he'd be one of the biggest signings full stop.

Only Jack Grealish has hit the £100m mark in the Premier League, and it's thought it would take a similar fee to bring Fernandez to Stamford Bridge.

It's not often we see such marquee signings made in the winter, with only one of the Premier League's most expensive 20 players - Virgil van Dijk - arriving in January, but we've taken a look at the Top 10 January signings.

10:50 - Chelsea into 1/5 to sign Fernandez

Having opened at 1/1 favourites, Chelsea are now as short as 1/5 to bring Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez to Stamford Bridge in January.

bet365's Steve Freeth said: "It's been one-way traffic for Enzo Fernandez to be a Chelsea player in the not too distant future.

"From Evens, to 4/6, to 1/3 and now 1/5 to help Chelsea in their quest to climb back up the table after a disappointing couple of months for the West London club."

Read about Enzo Fernandez's future here.

10:40 - Arsenal now odds-on for Felix

bet365's Steve Freeth said: "Arsenal backers have been out in force with his price shortening from 4/1, 5/2, 7/4, 11/10 and now trading at odds-on to be at the Emirates after the January transfer window.

"It looks like the relationship between him and Diego Simeone has broken down and one or the other won’t be at the Estadio Metropolitano come the beginning of February. At the moment, a number of people seem to think he’ll be bringing his qualities to the current runaway leaders of the Premier League."

Read about where Felix might end up here.

10:00 - Arsenal into 11/10 to sign Joao Felix

Manchester United appeared best placed to sign Joao Felix in January, opening at 6/4 having lost Cristiano Ronaldo in December, but Erik ten Hag has warned that any incomings need to tick all the boxes.

As such, the Red Devils may pass up on Felix, be it due to the finances involved in any loan deal, with Atletico Madrid reportedly demanding in excess of £10m for a short-term deal, or due to Felix not fitting the desired profile.

There are suggestions Arsenal may look to strengthen following the injury to Gabriel Jesus, enhanced by Real Madrid's rumoured interest in bringing Martin Odegaard back to the Bernabeu.

The Gunners are now into 11/10 to sign Felix in the January window.

09:00 - Chelsea 1/3 to sign Enzo Fernandez

Chelsea's disappointing 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest saw them cast further adrift in the top-four race and it may spur them into action in the January window.

Reports suggest that the Blues will continue to push for Enzo Fernandez and that the player is angling for a move to West London, though it remains to be seen whether his €120m release clause will prove a stumbling block.

After opening at 1/1, Chelsea are now 1/3 to sign the FIFA Young Player Award winner.

16:45 - All you need to know about Joao Felix

The arrival of Joao Felix on these shores in January - even if only on loan - would perhaps be the highest-profile move of the window.

In 2019, his move to Atletico Madrid made him the world's fourth most expensive player and the world's second most expensive teenager, but it's fair to say he's never quite lived up to expectations.

He appeared to finally be finding his feet at the beginning of the year, and despite making just 13 La Liga starts, was named in the Team of the Year and was Atletico Madrid's Player of the Year.

But the relationship between player and manager appears to have soured, with Felix eyeing the exit door.

Read all you need to know about the Portugal star.

14:20 - Man Utd 6/4 to sign Joao Felix

It's somewhat unusual - and refreshing - to hear a manager publicly come out and state their intentions around transfers, but it doesn't necessarily make it any more likely that Erik ten Hag will get the striker he's after.

The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Anthony Martial leading the line, and his fitness issues in recent years won't give the Dutchman all that much confidence he can score the goals that will propel Manchester United back to the Champions League.

Joao Felix looks like the most likely arrival at Old Trafford in January, and we take a look at where else he may end up.

12:50 - Enzo Fernandez 1/1 to join Chelsea

The winner of the FIFA Young Player Award at the World Cup has become one of Europe's hottest properties, and appears to be in-demand ahead of the January transfer window opening.

Chelsea are 1/1 favourites to secure Enzo Fernandez's signature in January with Benfica 7/4 to keep hold of the starlet beyond the window.

Thursday 29th December:

14:25 - Matheus Cunha 8/13 to score five or more

Wolves, the lowest scorers in the Premier League, moved to strengthen their attacking options with Diego Costa failing to find the net so far in his seven appearances at Molineux.

Matheus Cunha, who new manager Julen Lopetegui should be familiar with from their times in Spain with Atletico Madrid and Sevilla respectively, has been priced up at 8/13 to score five or more in the Premier League this season.

12:45 - Cody Gakpo 7/4 to score 10 or more

Having snatched a target from under the noses of Manchester United, Liverpool will be hopeful that Cody Gakpo can make a similar impact to Luis Diaz last season.

The Colombian forced his way into the starting XI, even prompting Sadio Mane to spend much of the second half of the season up front, and with Diaz injured, Gakpo will have an immediate chance to impress.

The Ajax man scored nine goals in 14 Eredivisie games this season, with three more at the World Cup, and is 7/4 to score 10 or more between now and the end of the season.

Wednesday 28th December:

12:30 - Enzo Fernandez attracts Premier League interest

Following an outstanding World Cup campaign with Argentina, Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez is reportedly on the radar of some of Europe's top clubs.

A move to the English Premier League has been strongly mooted, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea the most heavily linked, whilst Spanish giants Real Madrid have also been credited with interest.

12:40 - Wolves sign Matheus Cunha

Having moved to sign free agent Diego Costa before the World Cup, Wolves have bolstered their attacking options further with the signing of Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid.

11:45 - Liverpool to sign Cody Gakpo

In what will surely be one of the biggest shocks of the January transfer window, Liverpool moved to sign Cody Gakpo from PSV on Monday night.

The Dutch international had been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford to join compatriot Erik ten Hag, but Liverpool have got there first, with a £37m fee agreed.

11:00 - Isco to Wolves?

Premier League strugglers Wolves have been linked with a sensational move for Isco following his departure from Sevilla, though reports suggest they may face competition from Juventus.

30-year-old Isco, a five-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, is a familiar player to new Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui who managed him previously whilst in charge of both Real Madrid and Sevilla.

Wolves supporters will be hoping Isco's creativity and class can help steer the Molineux side up the table after a dismal start to their Premier League season, with the Midlands club the lowest scorers in the division thus far.
