Attention turns to the EFL Cup for two League Two sides on Tuesday evening as Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley meet in the first round.
It was a solid start to the season for Tranmere, who drew 0-0 with Notts County on Saturday, but Accrington will be looking to bounce back quickly from their 4-1 opening day defeat at Doncaster Rovers.
Tranmere v Accrington will be broadcast live on the Sky Sports+ channel.
Tranmere v Accrington will be played at Prenton Park in Birkenhead and kick-off is at 19:45 BST on Tuesday 13th August 2024.
The last meeting between the two sides saw Accrington Stanley win 4-1 at the Wham Stadium in April.
Prior to that victory, Tranmere had not lost in six games against Accrington Stanley.
The two sides have only met once before in this competition, with Tranmere winning on penalties in the first round during the 2022/23 season.
