18:51 Towcester – Boylesports Bob @ 4/5

This is one of the best-backed dogs for this year's Greyhound Derby and he has landed in one of the weaker heats on Saturday night.

Handler Paul Hennessy is one of a very small and elite group of trainers to have won the English, Scottish and Irish Derby - this year he sends a great team to Towcester, spearheaded by this powerhouse.

Very strong over the 500m and lining up in a race lacking in early speed, the son of Good News can turn in a menacing pitching before making his move from halfway.

The line came just a stride too early for him last week, but this is a great chance to get back to winning ways with anything like a clear run.

Another Irish raider Ballymac Finn is the main danger after returning to winning ways himself last week, well drawn on the inside he has a great chance to bag the early lead.

19.10 Towcester – Churchfield Syd @ 11/10

This Richard Rees-trained speedster took a big step forward last week and is ready to bag his first success of this year's Derby.

The Kent Derby winner has brilliant early speed as well as the ability to trap smartly, which makes him a real handful. He broke smartly last week but bumped into unbeaten Irish star De Lahdedah, who reeled him in.

There will be nothing of that calibre chasing here and that improvement in form is an encouraging sign. With another slick exit, the talented wide can cut loose and build an unassailable lead.

Maxine Locke's Coss Tokyo is possibly the fastest maiden in training - he is without a win in nine starts - but continues to run well in defeat, he is a must for forecast and tricast punters to include.

19:29 Towcester – Superfast Gorden @ 8/13

This is the banker of the third round on Saturday night - the fastest dog in the race with a brilliant draw.

Pat Buckley's star has held a lofty position in the ante-post market for months and last weekend he showed exactly why.

A brilliant winner from the front, he broke well before proving too strong for Easter Cup champion Clonbrien Treaty and posted a super slick 28.71sec.

He showed in the opening round that he has the ability to break from trap one and switching back there after his middle draw last week should pose no issue here.

Maiden Derby winner Jaytee Etienne is expected to steer away from the inside racing in trap two - opening up the track nicely to Superfast Gorden, who can live up to his name!
