Australian Football: Toure added to Reds injury list

Mohamed Toure has been added to Adelaide’s injury list with a dislocated shoulder following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat against Melbourne Victory.

The Reds are gunning for the A-League grand final this season and still remain in good shape despite the loss at Coopers Stadium.

Veart fuming

Marco Rojas grabbed the only goal of the game to earn the visitors the win but Reds boss Carl Veart was far from happy with the officials after losing Mohamed Toure to injury.

The young striker had to leave the field with a dislocated shoulder on 21 minutes following a tussle with some Victory defenders and Veart was unhappy it went unpunished.

"He's dislocated the shoulder," Veart said after the game "You can see on the replay, the player, how he has got hold of his arm and pulled it right back like that, right in front of the referee and linesman and nothing.

"Our players get booked for little things all season. Maybe I need to start complaining about the referees more like the other coaches do and maybe we'll get a little bit better rub of the green.”

Victory hang on

Victory dug deep to hold on to the points as Adelaide pushed for the equaliser at the death and boss Tony Popovic was proud of his players.

"Today was a big result," he said. "Nothing changes here in Adelaide. You've got to earn it; they make you earn it and they don't stop coming.

"And with the support and the fans it's always tough, the last 15-20 minutes if you haven't put them away with the chances you've had."
