Tottenham Top Four odds: Spurs into 8/13 after beating Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur are now 8/13 to finish in the Premier League Top Four this season after winning 4-0 at Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Ange Postecoglou's men were five points behind their fourth-placed opponents as they made the trip to Villa Park, with the home side presented with a fantastic opportunity to take a giant leap towards securing Champions League football.

After a first-half of few chances, two quickfire second-half goals from James Maddison and Brennan Johnson helped Spurs establish a two-goal lead in what was an even game up to that point.

Any chances of a comeback from the home side were effectively over on the hour as captain John McGinn was sent off for a reckless challenge on Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie.

The visitors were able to add more gloss to their victory late on as Dejan Kulusevski picked out captain Son Heung-Min, who in turn fired a strike beyond Emiliano Martinez to make it three in the 91st minute.

There was even time for a fourth three minutes later, as substitute Timo Werner found the net with a composed finish to round off a miserable afternoon for Unai Emery's men.

The result means that Tottenham are just two points behind Villa, while they also re-established their six-point cushion over Manchester United, after the Red Devils beat Everton on Saturday afternoon.
