Tottenham are interested in signing Mohammed Kudus from city rivals West Ham United.
The Ghana international signed with The Hammers in the summer of 2023 from Ajax for €43m.
Kudus impressed during his first season in the capital when he directly contributed to 14 Premier League goals but just five goals in all competitions during his second campaign represented a marked drop off in performance.
Journalist Matt Law broke the news on The Telegraph on Monday.
Law wrote: "Tottenham Hotspur want to break their unofficial transfer embargo with West Ham United by making Mohammed Kudus the first player to move directly from their fierce London rivals in more than 10 years."
There is a £85m release clause in Kudus' contract that runs for the first 10 days of July, but Spurs are very optimistic that they can negotiate a fee that sits well below that.
West Ham are reportedly open to the sale of Kudus to help finance a summer rebuild.
2025/26 will be Graham Potter's first full season in charge at the London Stadium with ambitions surely focused around improving on their 14th place Premier League finish last campaign.
Improvement will also be necessary at Tottenham after a extremely disappointing league campaign saw the North London side end the season in 17th.
Success in the Europa League did alleviate some of the pain for fans with the victory securing UEFA Champions League football.
Eberechi Eze, Bryan Mbeumo and Jack Grealish have all been linked with moves to Spurs but it appears that Moahmmed Kudus has earmarked as the man to help Tottenham return to the upper reaches of the Premier League table.
Years | Team | Games | Goals | Assists |

Should Kudus secure a move across London he will join up with France U21 international Mathys Tel.
The former Bayern Munich player sealed a permanent move to Spurs last week after spending the second half of last season on loan with the club.
Tel netted three times across his 20 appearances in England last season and will join in a deal worth €35m.
