There is another fantastic day of sporting action to get stuck into on Saturday
  1. Football

Today's Sport - 16th October

With action at the top end of the Premier League table and the Gallagher Premiership, there’s plenty of football and rugby to look forward to on Sunday.

Starting with the football on offer in England’s top-flight, there will be plenty of attention on frontrunners Arsenal as they head to Elland Road, before the main event as Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield.

Arsenal will be rightly full of confidence as they take on an out-of-form Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday. The Gunners did the double over Leeds last season in the Premier League and, with a six-game winning run going into Sunday’s game, the visitors are deserved favourites.

Leeds have had joy at Elland Road this season as they have an unbeaten record, including wins over Wolves and Chelsea. That unbeaten record might well come to an end against an Arsenal side that have come on leaps and bounds under Mikel Arteta since last season.

Liverpool and Manchester City have been the dominant forces in English football in recent years but it has been some time since the Citizens headed to Anfield as such favourites for the win. Injuries have decimated the Liverpool squad, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip and Luis Diaz all picking up injuries in the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal last time out.

With in-form striker Erling Haaland rested for the Champions League action in midweek, the Norwegian is set to be a major threat again this weekend. Having already found the back of the net 15 times in the Premier League this season, Haaland is 8/11 to score anytime against the Reds.

Harlequins v Leicester

Harlequins 8/15, Leicester 6/4

Free-scoring Harlequins will be looking to get one over on the reigning Premiership champions when Leicester Tigers head to The Stoop on Sunday. With just two wins from their first five outings of the season, it has been a tricky start to the Tigers’ title defence this term.

Leicester have admittedly had a tricky schedule at the start of the campaign, having already faced the likes of Exeter Chiefs, Sale Sharks and Saracens. Harlequins will pose another tough opponent, especially with England halfbacks Danny Care and Marcus Smith back in the starting XV after having some rest weeks at the start of the season.

Going into the week six fixtures, only Saracens had scored more than Harlequins' 144 points and the hosts are worthy of their 8/15 favourites’ price going into this one.
