Warwick is next off and there's no doubting the eyes of the racing world will fix on their Highflyer Bloodstock Novices' Chase (2.45) as Nicky Henderson's Jonbon makes his debut over fences in a clash that sees him taking on smart performers in Monmiral for Paul Nicholls and West Cork for Dan Skelton.

Afternoon all-weather racing comes from Nottinghamshire with nine races on the card at Southwell. They begin with four straight sprints over the flying five-furlongs, the highlight being a Class 2 handicap at 2.38 which features the likes of Intervention for Mick Appleby and David O'Meara's Alligator Alley in a field of nine runners.

Last but by no means least on Wednesday is the evening all-weather card at Kempton Park where the Polytrack surface is expected to race Standard to slow for their nine-race offering.
Lots of end-of-year novice action to begin the card, with some late-blossoming two-year-olds getting a chance to strut their stuff, many for the first time at the track.
One with experience is Charlie Appleby's filly Whispering Dream, a clear second-best over C&D on her debut here four weeks ago behind a John Gosden-trained debutant. Champion jockey William Buick takes over in the saddle for the Fillies' Novice Stakes (5.20) and will be hoping his partner can go one place better.
