This week’s Sport: Champions League returns and Super League begins

The Champions League resumes this week with the first batch of last-16 ties, while the new Super League season gets underway in rugby league and, in cricket, the Third Test takes place between India and England.

Manchester City restart their defence of Europe's top club trophy on Tuesday when Pep Guardiola's side travel to FC Copenhagen, while there's also plenty of Europa League, Europa Conference League and Championship action to entertain football punters across the week.

Here is our round-up of the upcoming major sporting events so you can keep up with everything, which also includes golf, darts and tennis.

Monday 12th February

Premier League: Chelsea aim to build on FA Cup win

The Premier League schedule concludes for another week on Monday night when struggling Crystal Palace entertain inconsistent Chelsea in a big London derby.

The Blues turned in arguably their best performance of a woeful season so far when they beat Aston Villa 3-1 in their FA Cup fourth round replay last week and are 3/4 to follow that up with a win over the Eagles.

Roy Hodgson's men are 7/2 for victory, while the draw is 3/1.

Tennis: Fritz favourite for Delray Beach Open

The Delray Beach Open is the focus on the ATP tour, an event which sees American Taylor Fritz the 9/4 favourite, while compatriots Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul are both 11/2 shots.

Tuesday 13th February

Champions League: Last-16 gets underway

The Champions League is back on Tuesday when the first two games of the first knockout round take place.

Man City, the defending European champions, go to Copenhagen for their first-leg clash and the Premier League giants are 1/4 to win in Denmark, it's 5/1 the draw and 10/1 for a shock home victory.

The other last-16 tie on Tuesday sees German outfit RB Leipzig entertain Real Madrid. The hosts are the 11/5 outsiders to win on the night, Real are 11/10 and a draw is available at 11/4.

Wednesday 14th February

Champions League: More big guns in action

On Wednesday it's the turn of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain to resume their European campaigns, as Bayern go to Lazio and PSG host Real Sociedad.

A Bayern win is priced at 3/5, the draw is 19/4 and a Lazio victory is 3/1, while Les Parisiens are 8/13 to win their last-16 first-leg tie, a draw is 3/1 and a surprise Sociedad win is on offer at 9/2.

There are also five Championship games, including Millwall's home clash with Ipswich at 20:00, in which the Lions are 5/2 for victory, an away win is 21/20 and the draw is 12/5.

Thursday 15th February

Cricket: England and India square off in third Test

It's finely poised at 1-1 in England's tour of India, with the hosts bouncing back from losing the first Test by winning the second match in Visakhapatnam earlier this month.

India are 4/9 to go 2-1 up in the five-Test series, England are 11/4 and the draw is available at 17/2.

Europa League: Knockout round in focus

The Europa League knockout round play-offs feature on Thursday evening, when there are eight first-leg ties in the continent's secondary club competition.

Included on the list is AC Milan's home clash with Rennes, with the Italian giants 8/13 for victory, a draw is 3/1 and a win for the French outfit is a 17/4 chance.

There are also eight Europa Conference League knockout round play-off first legs on Thursday, including Dutch giants Ajax's home game against Bodo/Glimt of Norway.

Premier League Darts: Glasgow the venue for Night 3

Night three of Premier League Darts takes centre stage in Scotland on Thursday evening, with the biggest stars in the world going to battle on the oche once more.

Michael van Gerwen, who won on Night 2 last week, is 13/5 for more glory, while world champion Luke Humphries is 7/2 to win at the OVO Arena.

Golf: Stars flock to LA for Genesis Invitational 

There's a stellar list of names set to compete at The Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club when the action there begins on Thursday on the USPGA Tour.

Included among the field are Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Xander Schauffele and a certain Tiger Woods.

Super League: New season begins with Hull derby

In rugby league, Super League XXIX gets underway on Thursday evening with a big Humberside derby between Hull FC, who are 11/8 to win, and 4/7 favourites Hull KR. 

Friday 16th February

Championship: Baggies host Saints

The football focus is on the second tier on Friday night again when Championship promotion hopefuls West Brom and Southampton go head-to-head.

The Baggies, who drew with Ipswich 2-2 on Saturday, are 11/5 to win, the draw is 12/5 and a win for Saints, who beat Huddersfield 5-3 over the weekend, is on offer at 23/20.

Super League: Three more games

The first round of Super League fixtures continues on Friday when there are three matches - Leeds Rhinos host Salford Red Devils, it's Leigh Leopards versus Huddersfield Giants, while St Helens entertain London Broncos.

Saturday 17th February

Premier League: Bees host leaders among seven games

The Premier League weekend starts with leaders Liverpool going to Brentford in the 12.30 kick-off. 

Then, at 15.00, there are five games in the top-flight, including Arsenal's trip to Burnley and Tottenham's home clash with Wolves.

The game of the day in the Premier League comes at 17:30, when title-chasing Manchester City host Chelsea.

Rugby Union: Gloucester face Exeter in semi

In rugby union, with the Six Nations pausing this coming weekend, attention will be on the Premiership Rugby Cup semi-final showdown between Gloucester and Exeter Chiefs, with the game kicking off at 15.05.

Sunday 18th February

Premier League: Red Devils face Hatters test

The week’s sporting drama concludes on Sunday, with two more Premier League games scheduled.

First up, it's Sheffield United versus Brighton at 14:00, before Luton Town host Manchester United at 16:30.
