The lyrics used in the official UEFA Champions League anthem are in UEFA's three official languages, English, French and German.
Each verse carries at least one segment featuring each of those three languages.
The official full length of the UEFA Champions League anthem is two minutes and 52 seconds.
The official UEFA Champions League anthem was written in 1992 by British musical director, composer and film maker Tony Britten - a graduate of the Royal College of Music.
UEFA commissioned Britten to devise a piece in the style of George Frideric Handel's 'Zadok the Priest', which is traditionally performed at the coronation of British monarchs.
Ahead of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League, UEFA commissioned Tony Britten - the original song writer - to slightly modify the anthem as part of a brand new identity for the competition.
The lyrics have remained the same with only subtle changes to the musical elements of the song being made.
The iconic recording of 'The Champions League' features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and and is sung by the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields Chorus.
UEFA's official Champions League anthem can be heard echoing around stadiums all across Europe during the pre-match ceremony at the start of all games in the competition,.
The song is also used during the opening and closing sequences of all UEFA Champions League TV broadcasts, as well as during the celebration ceremony when the winning team lifts the iconic trophy in the the final.
Some of the biggest names in music have performed the famous UEFA Champions League anthem including Andrea Bocelli, who has been bestowed the honour of performing in the showpiece final of the competition on four separate occasions (Rome 1996 and 2009, Milan 2016 and Cardiff 2017).
