Trainer Den Skelton will be hoping The New Lion can make it four wins from four this season with a Turners Novices' Hurdle victory on the second day of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.
The New Lion was purchased by JP McManus after his hugely impressive Grade 1 Challow Novices’ Hurdle success, so this will be the first time the talented six-year-old will wear the famous silks.
It his however far from a foregone conclusion that it will be winning start in green and gold and many are expecting The New Lion and Final Demand to produce one of the battles of the four-day meeting as they contest Wednesday's curtain-raiser.
