Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike added his name to the list of players to score the first goal of a Premier League season as he netted the opener for the champions against Bournemouth.
Liverpool hold the record for the most opening goalscorers with six, two ahead of Manchester United on four.
A frequent answer to the quiz question: 'Who scored the first goal in the Premier League?', Brian Deane opened the scoring against Manchester United for Sheffield United on the opening day of the 1992/93 season.
