City of Troy is our most backed horse for the 2024 Derby on Saturday afternoon, with 28% of customers selecting Aidan O'Brien's three-year-old.

The record-breaking trainer will be hoping that City Of Troy can follow in the footsteps of Auguste Rodin by shaking off a poor performance in the 2000 Guineas to win the Epsom Derby the following month.

If City of Troy is to be successful, he will become only the third horse to win the race from Stall 1, after connections were left cursing the result of the draw for the Derby.

The percentage of bets placed suggests that customers are optimistic he can replicate his form of 2023, when he triumphed in the bet365 Superlative Stakes before producing a sublime display on Future Champions Day.

Whilst City Of Troy covers 28% of the bets placed, stablemate Los Angeles is the next best bet for the Derby with customers, with 13% of the bets taken.
