Kell Brook, Amir Khan, Manchester. The waiting is finally over, these fighters are finally going to lock horns.
They’ve waited 10 years for this. The feud… will this be the end of it? How will this fight be won and lost by both fighters?
Amir Khan is the fastest fighter I’ve ever seen live. The combinations he throws are ridiculous, it’s like his feet come off the ground like a helicopter, the punches are raining through and he’ll drop them to the body and his opponents don’t know where they’re coming from.
His accuracy and his speed are blistering, it’s blurry, you just do not know how to handle it.
If he can keep that up for 12 rounds, 12 solid rounds, against a guy like Kell Brook, whose timing is second to none, who’ll probably lose the first round, because the timing of Khan will be mad – he may even lose the second round, maybe even the third round, but time will tell.

Brook will be hoping Khan will slow down. If Khan slows down, that’s when the timing of Brook kicks in. I’ve known this young man from seven years old. I know when he hits you, it’s like being hit by a stun gun. You know what’s happened but it’s like you’re stuck in quick sand thinking ‘what has just hit me there?’
So this is what you’ve got. You’ve got speed in Amir Khan, you’ve got timing in Kell Brook. You’ve got these guys who weren’t the guys they were 10 years ago or even five years ago. Now, they’re both at the same level.
This fight is going to be won in tactics. Khan’s got to use speed – blistering speed - and keeping it in Brook’s face, slinging those shots and dropping them to the body so Kell has to block them.
And Kell’s got to be patient, wait, block, block, don’t let Khan run away with the points, and wait for that shot. He may throw the first shot and miss, he may throw the second shot and miss, that timing’s going to get closer and closer and then BOOM. That shot has to get him, that shot has to say it all.
I can’t call this. It’s a 50/50. But we’ll wait and see – February 19th.
