“The Big Ticket Giveaway” Promotion is coming to Birmingham and London. Find the footballing Legends for a chance to win tickets to a UEFA Champions League home game!
1. What is “The Big Ticket Giveaway” Promotion?
1.1 To coincide with the UCL draw, we’re sending a legendary ex-footballer (“Legend”) back into the city for a treasure hunt with a twist. In each of the two locations, the first 10 fans to find the Legend and speak the ‘secret code words’ (“NEVER ORDINARY!”) will be entered into a draw to receive one of four pairs of tickets to a UK team home game in the League Phase of the UEFA UCL Men’s tournament (selected matches only, dates and fixtures subject to UCL draw).
1.2 The Legends’ identities and clues to their exact Locations will be revealed in the Legends’ videos on bet365’s social media on 29th August.
1.3 The promotion will be taking place from 4pm on 29th August 2024 in Birmingham and London (each a “Location”). The Promotion will end once the Legends in each Location have been located by twenty fans, or will otherwise end automatically at 5pm on 29th August 2024. If the Promotion ends before 5pm this will be announced on bet365’s social media.
1.4 The 10 fans will be escorted to the nearby bet365 “Big Ticket Printer” for the in-person winners draw (transport will be provided where required). Winners will be randomly drawn and announced by the Legend to coincide with the UCL League Phase draw, taking place between 5pm – 6.15pm on 29 August. You must be available and remain for the in-person draw in order to win.
2. How to Enter
2.1 To take part, simply turn up to Birmingham City Centre or Shoreditch, London at 4pm on 29th August 2024 and use the location clues in the Legends’ videos posted on bet365’s social media to start hunting the Legend! Be one of the first 10 fans to find the Legend and speak the secret words, and join us for the UCL draw at 5pm for a chance to win tickets.
2.2 By taking part in the Promotion, you agree that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2.3 If you spot the Legend, approach them and speak the ‘secret code’: “Never Ordinary!”. If you are one of the first 10 fans to do so, we will confirm your details and if eligible, your entry into the random prize draw. Winners will be drawn at the nearby Never Ordinary ticket printer in each Location. You must be available to attend the prize draw at 5pm – 6.15pm on 29th August 2024 in order to win. Transport will be provided where required.
2.4 Entry is free and open to all eligible entrants who satisfy the requirements at clause 3. No purchase is necessary.
3. Eligibility
3.1 To take part in this Promotion and win a prize, you must be a UK resident and aged 25+. You will not be eligible to win a prize if:
(a) you (or your guest) are subject to a banning order from any football tournament, club or stadium;
(b) you (or your guest) are a bet365 employee or contractor;
(c) you (or your guest) are a member of the immediate families or households of (b) above; or
(d) you are (or have previously been) voluntarily, or involuntarily, excluded from playing with any gambling operator, including bet365, or from receiving bet365’s promotional offers.
3.2 To allow us to confirm eligibility, the winner must either provide the username of their personal, fully verified bet365 account, or valid identification to confirm their name and age, in order to win a prize. Suitable forms of ID include a valid UK driving licence or a passport. We will use your details to ensure that you meet the safeguarding criteria set out above.
3.3 You may not enter the Promotion on behalf of another person.
3.4 You agree that you will not behave in a way that may put yourself or others at any risk of harm when taking part in the Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
4. The prize
4.1 At each Location, four winners will each win 2x match tickets to a UEFA Champions League home match played by a qualifying UK team during the League Phase (between 17th September 2024 and 29th January 2025). Prizes differ by Location:
For Birmingham: Four winners will win a pair of tickets to an Aston Villa F.C. home game played in the UCL tournament.
For London: Four winners will win a pair of tickets to a home match played by one of Arsenal F.C., Liverpool F.C., Manchester City F.C. or Celtic F.C. in the UCL tournament (subject to UCL draw, one pair of tickets available for each).
4.2 The dates and fixtures of the prizes depend upon the qualification of the teams listed above and the outcome of the UEFA Champions League draw taking place on 29th August 2024. Available matches will be confirmed at the prize draw at each Location and randomly allocated to winners, with match dates to be confirmed after 31st August 2024 (subject to confirmation of UEFA’s final timetable).
4.3 Tickets may only be used by the selected winner, and a guest of their choice (who must be aged 18+ and meet the eligibility criteria in clause 3, above). Tickets may not be transferred, sold, exchanged, or used for any other non-private enjoyment purpose.
4.4 The prize does not include hospitality, travel, accommodation, travel insurance, food and drink, spending money, tax or any other incidental expenses in using the prize.
4.5 Tickets are and remain at all times the property of UEFA Events SA and/or the relevant Club.
5. Winners
5.1 If you are unable to attend the in-person prize draw at your Location you will be ineligible to win, and your entry will be discounted.
5.2 Winners will be chosen by random draw. The Promoter may be required to evidence that prizes were correctly awarded. You agree that in the event that you win and claim a prize, the Promoter may, if required to do so, share your name with the UK Advertising Standards Authority.
5.3 The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6. Publicity and Data protection
6.1 By taking part in the Promotion, you agree that bet365 may:
(a) record, film and photograph your participation in this Promotion and prize draw;
(b) store photographs, recordings and interviews of you taking part in or winning the Promotion (“Footage”), and use such Footage (without compensation to you) for as long as is reasonably necessary for its marketing purposes. This includes bet365’s social media, website and other third-party marketing activity, including press coverage; and
(c) share the Footage with the third-party service providers from time to time, providing assistance to bet365 with its marketing purposes only for the provision of such assistance.
6.2 The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in this agreement and in line with the bet365 Privacy Policy.
6.3 By entering into any prize draw, you agree that in the event that you are selected as a winner, you may be contacted by, and the Promoter may share your relevant personal data (name, address and email address), and that of your chosen guest, with each of the following related parties, only in order to deliver the prizes:
(a) UEFA Events SA (of Route de Genève 46, 1260 Nyon 2, Switzerland, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEFA) (“UEFA”); and
(b) Octagon Worldwide Ltd, (of 99 Clifton Street, London, EC2A 4LG) (“Octagon”).
By entering into any prize giveaway under this Promotion, you accept that such data sharing shall be subject to the terms of i) UEFA’s Privacy Policy, available here, and ii) Octagon’s Privacy Notice, available here.
6.4 You have the right to withdraw the consent you have given at any time by contacting the bet365 team at data.protection@bet365.com. This will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out by bet365 before you withdraw your consent.
6.5 You agree that Octagon and/or bet365 may contact you after the match to ask you about your experience.
7. Claiming the prize
7.1 Note that novelty tickets that may be awarded on the day are placeholders, and are not valid substitutes for match tickets.
7.2 Tickets will be provided to the winners shortly after these are available for issue by the relevant club, which occurs shortly before the relevant fixture date. You acknowledge that the timing of the ticket fulfilment is therefore dependent on the date of the fixture you have won, and the Club’s ticketing policies, and that this may be later than 30 days following the Promotion. Tickets will be provided in digital format to the email address you provide. You will be required to download the UEFA Mobile Tickets app and create an account in order to receive such tickets.
7.3 Issue and use of each ticket is subject to the relevant Stadium and/or Club terms and conditions of entry, which are available from the relevant Stadium and/or Club’s website.
7.4 The prize is issued subject to valid proof of identity, age verification and further security checks. We may need to request further information from yourself and/or your guest, to verify eligibility and register your tickets. Your failure to provide this information may result in forfeiture of the prize.
7.5 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you (or your chosen guest) are not able to take up the prize, for any reason.
8. Use of the Prize
8.1 Prizes may only be used by yourself and a chosen guest.
8.2 By entering this Promotion, you agree that if you win a prize:
(a) You shall be fully responsible for your behaviour and the behaviour of your guest when using the prize. When using the prize you agree to behave responsibly, and not to behave in a way that puts yourself, or others, in danger.
(b) You will comply, and ensure your guest complies, with all applicable third party terms and conditions that apply to your use of the tickets and attendance at the relevant stadium (including UEFA’s ticket terms and conditions, and stadium entry rules).
(c) You, and your guest, will be subject to checks against any Club, venue, or sports association banning order list.
8.3 You acknowledge and accept that you alone will be responsible for ensuring that you and any guest travelling with you are available to travel and hold valid passports, visas and/or any other travel documents required in order to travel to the relevant stadium for any tickets you win.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1 The prize is awarded on an “as is” basis. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter. Your statutory rights are not affected to the extent that these cannot be excluded under applicable laws.
9.2 The Promoter and Octagon are not responsible for any external circumstances beyond their reasonable control which may interfere with your (and/or your chosen guest’s) use or enjoyment of any prize, including in particular: acts of god, global or regional pandemic, adverse weather conditions, strike, acts of terrorism, political unrest, change in law or regulations, war, natural disaster, or any other circumstances, including any circumstances resulting in the relocation, postponement or cancelation of the relevant match, or any illness or other circumstance which prevents your (or your guest’s) travel to the match.
9.3 You hereby agree to release and hold the Promoter (and each of its affiliated entities), UEFA and Octagon, harmless from and against any losses, damages, rights or claims of any kind, arising from your participation in this Promotion and/or in connection with your, and your guest’s, use of any prize.
10. General
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to exclude you from participating in the Promotion.
10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so (including due to lack of interest).
10.3 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any formal disputes arising in connection with the Promotion.
10.4 The Promoter may reclaim any prize which has been awarded in error.
10.5 The Promoter may at any time, make minor amendments to this promotion to correct typographical errors or to improve on clarity and may cancel this promotion if this becomes necessary for legal or regulatory reasons.
