Speaking recently, Eddie Hearn - the promoted of Hitchins - told Boxing News, "His Excellency has had an idea to stage fights at unique locations, such as Alcatraz, London Bridge and Times Square - these discussions have been taking place for the last three months or so.
"When the gate is not relevant in terms of financial input, you can really do what you want in boxing, and whilst I do love live crowds, imagine the excitement and drama that Alcatraz could bring to the sport of boxing.
"Turki Alalshikh has the vision and purse strings to make these sort of things happen, and it's wonderful for boxing."
Teofimo Lopez v Richardson Hitchins is likely to be a super-lightweight unification showdown, with Lopez the current WBO and Ring Magazine title-holder and Hitchins - unbeaten in 19 professional fights - the holder of the IBF strap.
