A top-class field takes to the courts at the Eastbourne Open, with Daria Kasatkina the defending champion and hoping to reach the final for the third consecutive year.
The Eastbourne Open has been a mainstay on the WTA Tour since the 1970s, with Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Monica Seles, Madison Keys and Caroline Wozniacki amongst those to have lifted the trophy.
Australia's Kasatkina will return to defend the title she won 12 months ago, while 2021 champion Jelena Ostapenko also takes her place among the strong field finalising their preparations for Wimbledon.

Defending champion Daria Kasatkina lost to Madison Keys in the final in 2023.
There hasn't been a British winner of this tournament since Virginia Wade won back in 1975.
Canada's Leylah Fernandez was unseeded when reaching the 2024 final at Eastbourne.
Madison Keys was unseeded when she went on to take the title in 2023.
The 2015 final was the last one to go to three sets, when Belinda Bencic beat Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 4-6 6-0.
Best Bet: Jelena Ostapenko @ 7/1
When it comes to grass court events, previous success should always be taken into account and Ostapenko has enjoyed her trips to Eastbourne in the past.
The Latvian won the title in 2021 when she was a wildcard, beating the likes of Kasatkina, Ons Jabeur and Elena Rybakina on route to the final.
She reached the final again in 2022, where she lost to Petra Kvitova, before being forced to retire hurt when making the quarter-finals in 2023.
Seeded five last year, she fell to Katie Boulter in round two, but she will head back to Eastbourne this summer having already won a WTA Tour event.
Ostapenko claimed the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart back in April, while she also reached the final of the Doha event in February.
The 28-year-old has been drawn to face Sonay Kartal in a tough-looking first-round test, but if she does progress past the Brit then the draw looks kind.
Ostapenko is in the opposite half to Kasatkina and Emma Raducanu, with world number 31 Magda Linette a likely quarter-final opponent.
Warren Ashurst explains:
Ostapenko made the quarter-finals at Wimbledon last year and will be looking forward to returning to the grass courts. A previous winner at Eastbourne, she has what it takes to claim the title again.

Alternative Bet: Sofia Kenin @ 14/1
American Sofia Kenin is the second-highest seed in the top half of the draw and that means she will be up against a qualifier in the first round.
The former French Open finalist is another player with experience of Eastbourne, with this being her third appearance at the grass-court event.
It's fair to say that grass is not Kenin's favourite surface, but she has got a tournament win on grass to her name, having won the Mallorca Open back in 2019.
The world number 36 has reached a WTA 500 final this year, losing to fellow American Jessica Pegula at the Charleston Open in April.
Kenin was a lucky loser at Eastbourne last year, but fell in the second round to Harriet Dart - 3-6 7-6 0-6.
Being fourth seed this year should greatly improve her chances and she might not have to face Kasatkina until the semi-finals.
Warren Ashurst adds:
Kenin performed well at the French Open, pushing Madison Keys all the way in three sets in their round-of-32 clash. Her experience could be key in what looks like a decent draw for the American.
