Emma Raducanu will step up her preparations for Wimbledon when she takes on Sloane Stephens in the first round of the Eastbourne International on Tuesday.

Fresh from making it through to the semi-finals of last week's Nottingham Open, British ace Raducanu will hope to have too much for her fellow former US Open champion Stephens in what is one of the standout ties of the first round.

This first-round contest has an estimated start time of 11:00 on Tuesday 25th June and will take place at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

This will be the second-ever meeting between these two players and it was Raducanu who won the first, claiming a 6-0 2-6 6-1 victory in the first round of the 2022 Australian Open.

Both these players are former Grand Slam champions, with Raducanu famously tasting US Open glory as a qualifier in 2021, four years after Stephens claimed success at the same tournament.

Raducanu comes into this event off the back of reaching the last four at the Nottingham Open, which was the first time she has made it to the semi-final stage of a WTA event since doing so at the 2022 Korea Open.

American Stephens is an eight-time tournament winner on the WTA Tour, with her most recent title coming at the Open de Rouen in April.
