Queen's Club Championships: Prediction, Tips and Odds

The grass season continues this week as a star-studded line-up, headlined by three-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz, compete in the 2024 Queen's Club Championship.

Heading into the event following his first French Open success, Alcaraz is the defending champion after claiming the spoils at Queen's last year when he beat Australian Alex de Minaur in the final.

The Spaniard is joined in West Kensington by no less than five British players, with Cameron Norrie, Jack Draper, Dan Evans, Billy Harris and five-time champion Andy Murray all competing.

Queen's Club Championships betting tips and predictions

Holger Rune to win and each-way @ 12/1

While Holger Rune may not have kicked on as much as expected this season, he is still a very talented player and a switch to grass could provide the boost needed for the second half of the campaign.

The 21-year-old Dane may be seen as a future French Open champion given the fact he won the junior title at Roland Garros in 2019, but he is a classy operator on the grass and this surface has the potential to bring him success.

Rune showed his affinity for the lawns at last year's Queen's when reaching the semi-finals, where he was eventually knocked out by beaten finalist De Minaur.

Buoyed by that performance, Rune then enjoyed a run to the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, his best effort at the All England Club and his joint-best Grand Slam result.

If the Danish ace can reproduce that type of display at Queen's, then there is every chance he will end up lifting the trophy on Sunday.

Grigor Dimitrov to win and each-way @ 11/1

At the other end of the age spectrum to Rune is 33-year-old Grigor Dimitrov, who has been an accomplished grass player all his career and presents a real danger at Queen's.

The Bulgarian has fond memories of this venue, having won the 2014 title and also reached the semi-finals twice (2012 and 2017) and the quarter-finals in 2023.

Having endured a tough few years on tour, Dimitrov has been trending in the right direction over the last year or so and he landed his first ATP title since 2017 in January this year at the Brisbane International.

He has lost in two finals since that triumph down under, proving his game is in good shape, and it would be no surprise to see him challenge for glory at Queen's again.

Cameron Norrie to beat Milos Raonic @ 6/5

It has been a disappointing season for Cameron Norrie, who recently lost his status as British number one, but he will be hoping a return to the grass can reignite his game.

The 28-year-old came close to lifting the Queen's title in 2021, losing out in three sets to Matteo Berrettini in the final, while he also reached the quarter-finals last year before bumping into American Sebastian Korda.

Norrie enjoys the grass and he should have enough to overcome Canadian Milos Raonic, who has been plagued by injuries again and has been limited to just three tournaments.

The 33-year-old, who was runner-up in this tournament in 2016, was forced to retire in the first round of the Australian Open before suffering the same fate in the quarter-finals in Rotterdam.

Raonic didn't even make it to the court against Holger Rune at Indian Wells, pulling out before the match, and his fitness worries are a real concern.
