Novak Djokovic is the most decorated player in ATP Beijing history having won the title on six occasions and he is bidding to extend that dominance in China against Alex de Minaur in the final.
Djokovic had won all 29 of his matches in Beijing before returning this year for the first time since 2015 and the trip to China has sparked somewhat of a revival.
The legendary Serbian had been out of action since suffering a shock first-round defeat to Mariano Navone at the US Open in October but he has found form in the Imperial Capital.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion started by beating Nuno Borges and has since celebrated three-set victories over Yunchaokete Bu and world number two Alexander Zverev.
Djokovic built on that come-from-behind win over top seed Zverev with a semi-final success over Daniil Medvedev, who had recently claimed silverware in Hangzhou.
Djokovic now sets his sights on De Minaur, with the world number nine having also enjoyed a return to peak form.
The Australian has seen off Navone, Quentin Halys, Andrey Rublev and Hubert Hurkacz in the Chinese capital and will be hoping that Djokovic’s exertions have seen him run out of steam.

Djokovic is on a 33-match winning streak in Beijing and wins over Zverev and Medvedev give his run to this year’s final plenty of substance.
However, now 39, Djokovic is not the force he once was and he has been involved in a number of matches that could make this a tougher task than expected.
Djokovic won 6-3 7-6 in his opening assignment with Borges but he dropped the first set against Chinese world number 93 Bu before coming from a set down to see off Zverev.
In his semi-final win over Medvedev, Djokovic led 7-5 5-3 before his opponent was disqualified for hitting the ball into the crowd through frustration.
But Medvedev carved out 18 break-point opportunities in a contest that lasted two hours and 33 minutes and De Minaur’s freshness should aid his cause.
The Australian was a set and a break up when semi-final rival Hurkacz was forced to retire but he spent only one hour and 11 minutes on court to stretch his winning run to seven.
De Minaur defeated Rublev in the quarter-final and that is strong form as the Russian was runner-up to Medvedev in Hangzhou last week, while he also defeated Zverev in three sets at the Laver Cup in September.

The Chinese crowd are likely to be firmly on the side of Djokovic and he can grind out a heartwarming success that would secure him a seventh title in Beijing.
It would be disappointing if Djokovic couldn’t convert this opportunity on the back of wins over Zverev and Medvedev and he has won three of his four meetings with De Minaur.
However, in the latest of those victories at Wimbledon in 2025, Djokovic did drop the opening set before stamping his authority in four and the Australian is serving well enough to stay competitive.
