Lorenzo Musetti v Novak Djokovic: How to watch, TV channel, start time and head-to-head stats

Novak Djokovic has lost only one match at Wimbledon since 2017 - and that was in last year’s All England Club final against Carlos Alcaraz - but the legendary Serb might do well to expect a battle when he meets young Italian Lorenzo Musetti in the semi-finals on Friday.

Musetti, 22, is a good quality player who also happens to possess a sound temperament and that could stand him in good stead when he tries to lower the colours of the second-seeded Djokovic.

Musetti was at his best in the quarter-finals, fighting back to surprise Eastbourne champion Taylor Fritz in five sets, while Djokovic had the benefit of a last-eight bye following the withdrawal of Alex de Minaur due to injury.

Lorenzo Musetti v Novak Djokovic stats and head-to-head record (H2H)

Djokovic enjoys a 5-1 head-to-head record over Musetti, but the young Italian has often posed problems for his older opponent on clay.

After taking the Serb to a fifth set in their first career meeting in the French Open in 2021, Musetti upset Djokovic in three sets at the Monte Carlo Masters in 2023.

Djokovic gained his revenge in Monte Carlo in April with a straight-sets win before the Tuscan again took the former world No. 1 to a deciding set at the 2024 French Open recently.

In their two previous fast-court encounters, it has been a different story with Djokovic easing to hard-court triumphs in Dubai and Paris.

This is Musetti’s first Grand Slam singles semi-final and, in their first grass-court clash, he will be taking on a seven-time Wimbledon champion who has won a record 24 major singles titles in all.
