Day 13 at the US Open will see a potentially thrilling women’s singles final clash between Jessica Pegula and Aryna Sabalenka.
These two luminaries are expected to serve up an entertaining encounter on Arthur Ashe as they bid to win their first US Open title, and a maiden major title as far as Pegula is concerned.

This will be the eighth meeting between Jessica Pegula, the WTA 1000 Series Toronto champion, and Aryna Sabalenka, the world number two who started the tournament as outright favourite for the title ahead of world number one Iga Swiatek.
Sabalenka leads their personal series 5-2, but if her three clay-court wins are excluded, it’s 2-2 between the pair on hard courts.
Pegula, whose family own the Buffalo Bills NFL franchise, has won 34 of her 44 singles matches this year, while Sabalenka has won 44 of her 55 singles outings.
Sabalenka is a two-time Grand Slam singles champion, having been victorious at the Australian Open in Melbourne in 2023 and again this year.
