World number one Jannik Sinner takes on home favourite Taylor Fritz in the US Open final and the Italian ace is bidding to claim his second Grand Slam of the season following his success in Australia in January.
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic were early casualties in New York and top seed Sinner is bidding to take full advantage by winning the second Grand Slam of his career.
Fritz will be roared on by the home crowd but this is his maiden Grand Slam final and he faces the world number one who has dropped only two sets on his way to the title decider.
Sinner eased past British number one Jack Draper in straight sets in his semi-final encounter while Fritz battled past compatriot Frances Tiafoe in an epic five-setter.

The US Open final between Jannik Sinner v Taylor Fritz will take place on Arthur Ashe at 9pm on Sunday 8th September at Flushing Meadows.
This pair are locked level at one win apiece, with Sinner winning their latest rivalry in Indian Wells last year 6-4 4-6 6-4.
Sinner has lost only two of his last 24 matches, with him dropping only two sets across his six US Open victories.
Sinner has also lost only two of his 37 hard-court matches this season.
Meanwhile, both players have won a set in each of Taylor Fritz’s last three matches and he was a five-set winner over Tiafoe in the semi-final.
