Two British challengers are still standing in the quarter-final at Queen's, but world number six Jack Draper is the major home hope and he starts a warm favourite for his last-eight rumble with American ace Brandon Nakashima.
It has already been a season to remember for Draper, who has risen up the rankings following a maiden Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells and a runner-up effort in Madrid.
The 23-year-old would love to claim success in a home tournament prior to Wimbledon and he is the only seed left standing in the bottom half of the draw following a series of early upsets.
Draper eased past Jenson Brooksby in his opening assignment and then showed great character to claw himself back from a set down in his last-16 clash with Australia's Alexei Popyrin.
For Nakashima, this represents a second successive grass-court quarter-final following a fruitful run in Stuttgart.
However, the American world number 32 was beaten 7-5 6-4 by world number three Alexander Zverev on that occasion and tackling another elite member of the ATP Tour should see him found out again.

Best Bet: Jack Draper -3.5 games on the handicap @ 5/6
Nakashima is clearly in decent touch and, having made the quarter-final at Stuttgart last week, has repeated the feat at Queen's.
However, Nakashima was unable to live with world number three Zverev on that occasion, failing to break the German's serve, and it is tough to see how he can contain Draper’s power.
Draper, having had 22 aces across his two tournament wins, is ruthless on serve and the second seed will be desperate to reach the final in front of home support.
The 23-year-old's opponents at Queen's have carved out only two break-point opportunities and opportunities for Nakashima against serve are going to be severely limited.
These two did meet on grass in the Stuttgart semi-finals last season and Draper eased to a 6-3 6-3 success before toppling Matteo Berrettini in the title decider.
That shows Draper's strength on grass and he has improved in all recognition this season, marking himself down as a potential future Grand Slam champion.
A straight-set win for Draper looks likely, so it could be worth backing him to cover the handicap and triumph by at least four games.
Jack Draper to win 2-0
Jack Draper to serve 10+ aces
5+ match double faults
Pays 5/1
Draper's big serve is a secret weapon and that makes matters extremely tough for Nakashima, especially as the Briton has been broken only once from the two break-point opportunities he has faced across his two Queen’s outings.
Draper outclassed Nakashima, winning 6-3 6-3, when they met on the grass in Stuttgart last season and a similar scenario is expected here, especially as the Brit has improved heaps since then and has home-court advantage.
On that occasion, Draper had 13 aces and, having compiled 22 across his opening two wins over Brooksby and Popyrin, he should enjoy a lot more success on serve in this quarter-final.
Going big on serve can contribute double faults, however, and Draper has made eight in his first two assignments. There were seven in the Brit's victory over Nakashima on German grass last year.

Draper has been on a steep upward curve this season and, having ended last year as the world number 15, is now the world number six and seeded second in this tournament.
Two Masters 1000 finals this season show what the Brit is capable of when injury-free and feeling confident and there should be a big gulf in class between him and Nakashima, who has been unable to lay a glove on him in their last two rivalries.
Nakashima has made back-to-back grass court quarter-finals, but he had lost five of his six completed matches prior to that and it is difficult to see how he can nullify Draper's brute power.
