Ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup, we look ahead to January's Team Cup as Continental Europe get ready to take on Great Britain and Ireland.
A reincarnation of the Seve Cup, played in honour of Spanish Ryder Cup hero Seve Ballesteros, the Team Cup was previously known as the Hero Cup for sponsorship reasons in 2023, when Continental Europe ran out 14.5-10.5 winners.
The second Team Cup will take place between 10th and 12th January 2025.
The first nine players for both teams have been confirmed with the last two players to be confirmed after the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Great Britain and Ireland: Justin Rose (c), Laurie Canter, Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin, Aaron Rai, Jordan Smith, Matt Wallace, Paul Waring, TBC
Continental Europe: Francesco Molinari (c), Nicolai Hojgaard, Rasmus Hojgaard, Matteo Manassero, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, Niklas Norgaard, Thorbjorn Olesen, Matthier Pavon, Antoine Rozner, TBC.
Varying slightly from the Ryder Cup, there are five four-balls matches on Friday with five foursomes matches on Saturday morning and give more foursomes matches on Saturday afternoon, with all 10 players from both sides playing all three sessions.
All 10 players will be back out on Sunday for the final singles session. In total, 25 points are to play for, with 13 required to win.
Also varying slightly from the Ryder Cup, the captains will serve as playing captains, with Justin Rose skippering Great Britain and Ireland, and Francesco Molinari leading the Europeans out for a second time.
The Team Cup will take place at Abu Dhabi Golf Resort in the UAE.
