Australian spinner Mitch Swepson says he is excited at the prospect of finally making his Test debut when the baggy greens tour Pakistan in March.
Swepson is very highly-rated by Cricket Australia and he was in the squad that just defeated England 4-0 in the Ashes series, but did not manage to play in a Test.
Unfortunately for Swepson the pitches at the Gabba, Adelaide Oval, MCG, SCG and Hobart were not suitable enough for Australia to go with two spinners.
Nathan Lyon who has over 400 Test wickets remained fit and firing, playing in all five Tests, meaning the only thing Swepson delivered during the series was the drinks.

However that looks set to change in Pakistan with the pitches there perfect for spin and Swepson looks sure to finally make his debut. And he cannot wait.
"It would be awesome," Swepson told reporters. "Obviously didn’t get quite the conditions in the Ashes series to play a second spinner and that’s the way it is.
"Tough team to crack into so hopefully there’s some spicy conditions for spinners when we go to Pakistan and hopefully I can get an opportunity over there.
"I’m just really excited again to be around the group and I don’t want to get my hopes up too much but it would be great to get a game. As a spinner I’m excited get over there and see some spinning decks."
