Swansea City and Gillingham lock-horns in South Wales on Tuesday evening with a spot in the second round of the EFL Cup the reward for the winner.
Swansea endured a disappointing start to their Championship campaign on Saturday, being narrowly beaten by Middlesbrough on Teeside, whilst Gillingham kicked-off their League Two season with a superb 4-1 success over Carlisle United.
Swansea City v Gillingham will be shown on Sky Sports+.
The EFL Cup first-round tie is set to kick off at 19:45 (BST) on Tuesday 13th August and will be played at the Swansea.com Stadium in South Wales.
This will be the 40th meeting between the two sides with Swansea City narrowly edging the head-to-head record over the years.
The Swans have prevailed in 16 of the 39 encounters to date, with Gillingham registering victories in 13 matches and the ten other clashes ending all square.
Interestingly, the Swans have won all four cup encounters - with each coming in the FA Cup, and the most recent being a 4-1 success in Wales in January 2019.
Gillingham's last success over the Welsh side came back in September 2006 when they came out on top 3-1 in a Division 2 clash.
The Gills, at the time, had won six successive games against their upcoming opponents, but haven't won any of the four since that victory 18 years ago.

Swansea are expected to ring the changes on home soil as they get set to hand starting roles to a number of their first-team fringe players on Tuesday.
The likes of Andy Fisher, Joe Allen, Josh Ginnelly and Sam Parker will all miss out through injury, although Nathan Broome is in-line to make his Swans bow in goal.
Kyle Naughton and Kristian Pedersen could return too, whilst Oli Cooper, Ronald and Zan Vipotnik will all hope to feature after missing out on Saturday.
Gillingham could be boosted by the return to fitness of Elliott Nevitt, although the clash is likely to come too soon for Josh Andrews and Ethan Coleman.
Key defender Timothee Dieng was forced to limp out of his side's 4-1 victory over Carlisle last time out, and he likely won't be risked on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Glenn Morris, Shadrach Ogie and Jayden Clarke will all hope to be included in boss Mark Bonner's starting line-up.
