Punching well above their weight, the Black Cats managed to earn themselves a place in next season's UEFA Europa League for the upcoming season, via a seventh place finish.
Unsurprisingly, talismanic captain Granit Xhaka is the highest paid player at the club, earning a reported £110,000 a week.
The Swiss international is reportedly one of just two players earning six figures a week in the Sunderland squad, alongside Nordi Mukiele, who earns £100,000.
