Sunderland are reportedly keeping tabs on Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi this summer.
Tresoldi penned a four-year deal with the Belgian Pro League outfit last season after arriving from Bundesliga side Hannover 96.
Whilst he failed to register double figures in his two full seasons at the German team, Tresoldi showed his goalscoring potential during the last campaign.
He scored 23 goals across 58 appearances in all competitions for Club Brugge last season and he has become one of the brightest prospects in European football.
On The Minute have reported that Sunderland are interested in the player during the current transfer window.
The 21-year-old was born in Italy but he has a dual citizenship and is able to represent either Italy or Germany.
His early international career has seen him represent Germany at Under 19s and Under 21s level and he has been particularly productive with the latter age group.
Tresoldi has scored 12 goals in 24 matches for Germany's Under 21s and he could be in line for full international honours given Italy's recent struggles and Germany's poor 2026 World Cup campaign.
Sunderland are in the market for attacking reinforcements after they sensationally qualified for next season's UEFA Europa League.
However, the Black Cats could face some competition as it has been reported that the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also monitoring the current situation.
