The Gavin Cromwell-trained Stumptown is the current favourite for the Cross Country Chase on the second day of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.
The 20/1 shot for the Grand National was second behind Angels Dawn in the Kim Muir two years ago before being pulled up in the Ultima Handicap Chase at last year's Festival.
After ending last season with a cross country win at Punchestown, Stumptown has enjoyed an excellent campaign this time around.
The eight-year-old's reappearance over three miles at Punchestown was impressive and he won by three lengths from Three By Two.
His last outing was in the Crystal Cross in December, a 3m5f race over the same course and distance as the upcoming Cross Country Chase.
He beat a number of this week's rivals on that day and with Keith Donoghue on board he looks well placed to enjoy more success this spring.
