This year's series of Strictly Come Dancing is nearly upon us and as the first live show creeps closer, here is a look at the 15 contestants readying themselves for the dancefloor.

This year's favourite for the Glitterball Trophy, actor and model Bobby Brazier is best known for his role as Freddie Slater in Eastenders and knows what it is like to be under the spotlight, having graced the runway for Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week.
An armchair fan of the show, Nigel Harman is another actor set to take to the dancefloor this year. He played the role of Dennis Rickman in Eastenders and has also featured in BBC's Casualty and ITV's Downton Abbey, while he has stage credits in Guys and Dolls on the West End and Shrek the Musical.
Second in the betting is Irish TV presenter Angela Scanlon, who is best known for hosting BBC Two design show Your Home Made Perfect, while she began her career in the fashion industry as a stylist and is sure to impress with her attire.
Third favourite Layton Williams knows all about performing, having made his name as both a TV actor, starring in Bad Education, and a musical theatre actor, starring in title roles in Billy Elliot and Everyone's Talking About Jamie.
Best known for playing Adam Barton in ITV's Emmerdale, Adam Thomas already has some experience of reality TV, having appeared on 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!' back in 2016 and he even went on to co-host the show's spin-off show at the time.
With a career spanning more than 50 years, Angela Rippon is one of the most recognisable names on this year's list of celebrities. The 78-year-old journalist and presenter presented the original Come Dancing show between 1988 and 1991 and has also fronted shows such as Antiques Roadshow and Top Gear.
A former government policy advisor, Zara McDermott first made a name for herself on ITV dating show Love Island back in 2018 but has since turned to content creation and making documentaries, having made five for BBC so far.
Likely to be a hit with sports fans watching this year's Strictly Come Dancing, Annabel Croft is a former British number one tennis player who featured at all Grand Slams, including Wimbledon, and has since worked as a pundit for the likes of BBC and Sky.
Multi award-winning stand-up comedian and radio presenter Eddie Kadi is sure to get on the good side of viewers. Kadi was the first British black comedian to headline the O2 Arena in London and is in the process of making his own documentary series for Channel 4.
Ellie Leach is another of the soapstars involved in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, having played the role of Faye Windass on Coronation Street for 12 years. She moved on from the soap earlier in 2023 and has described appearing on Strictly as a dream come true.
Radio host and TV presenter Nikita Kanda is known for fronting the BBC Asian Network's Breakfast show, having scored interviews with actresses such as Sandra Oh and Kate Sharma, while she has also appeared in West End theatre productions from Annie to Pocahontas.
The first celebrity to have been confirmed for this year's series, Amanda Abbington is an award-winning actor on stage and screen, having starred in the likes of Sherlock, Mr Selfridge and Desperate Measures.
Soon to approach his 70th birthday, Les Dennis is one of the most eye-catching names on this year's list of celebrities. The TV personality and actor has worked in the industry for more than half a century and hosted game show Family Fortunes for 16 years.
Having won eight gold, one silver and three bronze medals in swimming and cycling events for Great Britain, Paralympic champion Jody Cundy will bring a winning mentality to this year's series and is looking forward to the challenge of taking to the dancefloor.
This year's big outsider, Krishnan Guru-Murthy is known for his work in journalism and broadcasting. He works as the main anchor for Channel 4 news, has covered major world events and often hosts live debates for the channel.
