The Bundesliga is back this weekend following the pre-World Cup break and in Sunday's early match at 14:30, Borussia Dortmund are 3/10 in the Match Result market at home to Augsburg.

However, at 16:30, Borussia Monchengladbach host Bayer Leverkusen with each eyeing a push for the European places.

Die Fohlen's season has been one of two contrasts. As of writing, they sit eighth in the table but should be higher, were it not for their wretched away record, failing to win on the road and taking just four points from the 21 available.

Their home record is a different story, winning six out of eight matches but keeping just two clean sheets in that time.

Gladbach are 10/3 to win at home with both scoring in the Result / Both to Score market for the fifth time this season and face a Bayer team who themselves have only won twice on the road this season.

One of those was his team's last away match ahead of the World Cup break at Cologne thanks to second half goals from Nadiem Amiri and Moussa Diaby.

There are signs that Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen reign is going to be a successful one and his club have a good record at Stadion Im Borussia-Park, winning their last three meetings in a run of five straight victories against Borussia.

This looks primed to be an entertaining affair, with Over 3.5 goals available at 11/8 in the Total Goals market and for those interested in the scorer markets, Diaby also netted four times in three matches before the break and the Frenchman is 2/1 as an Anytime Goalscorer.

Juventus looked to be back on the right track as they won eight games in a row without conceding.

However, they were slammed back down to earth by last weekend's 5-1 defeat at Napoli. Thursday's 2-1 Coppa Italia win over Monza restored some pride but their top four task has been made infinitely harder after they were hit with a 15-point penalty on Friday.

Atalanta were also in midweek Coppa action, beating Spezia 5-2, and have taken seven points from the nine available to them since Serie A's resumption.

However, they have struggled against the other big guns this season, losing to Lazio, Napoli and Inter Milan and could struggle in Turin.

La Dea won at the Allianz Stadium last season 1-0, with a repeat available at 17/2 in the Correct Score market but the Bianconeri's recent home record has been fabulous.

Massimilano Allegri's men have not conceded at home in Serie A since 11th September. That would suggest a home win to nil at 11/4 in the Result/Both Teams to Score market, and a player to look for could be Moise Kean.

The 22-year-old has impressed in the absence of more illustrious but injured colleagues, most recently netting against Monza, and is 12/5 in the Anytime Goalscorer market.

There are three other Serie A matches on Sunday, with the first taking place at 11:30 between Sampdoria and Udinese.

Neither side are in good form, with I Blucerchiati having lost their last three games in all competitions, while the Zebrette have taken just one point since the season resumed.

Incredibly, Samp are still to win at home this season and their lack of confidence could be exposed by Andrea Sottil's side who are 23/20 to win in the Full Time Result market.

Monza have lost just one of their last six at home in the league and are 6/5 to claim a fifth home win of the season against a Sassuolo side in transition and who have lost their last five away.

Roma are also in action, as they head to Spezia. The Giallarossi are well in the European picture after beating Fiorentina 2-0 last Sunday and a repeat of that scoreline in their favour is 7/1

Finally to La Liga where a tough trip to Athletic Bilbao awaits Real Madrid in the pick of Sunday's four matches.

Los Blancos came from behind to beat Villarreal 3-2 in the Copa del Rey on Thursday night to restore some pride after their 3-1 Super Cup trouncing by Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Bilbao beat Espanyol 1-0 24 hours earlier to get back on track after losing to their own great rivals 3-1 in Real Sociedad.

San Mames has been a relative fortress for Los Leones this season, losing just twice in the league on the banks of the Nervion and they won the pair's last meeting at the ground 1-0 courtesy of Alex Berenguer's late strike.

However, that was in the Copa del Rey and Bilbao have failed to win any of the duo's last 14 La Liga meetings.

This looks like a superb chance to improve that run, though, and while usually a pulsating fixture, goals can be sparse.

Real have won by exactly one goal on their last three trips to Bilbao, and under two goals in the Number of Goals market is 3/1 and Ernesto Valverde's side are 6/4 score one goal in the Home Team Exact Goals market.

With Los Blancos showing inconsistency, it could be Athletic's night and a 1-0 Correct Score is 9/1.

That game is one of four in Spain on Sunday, with Barcelona in action against Getafe at 17:30 and the Blaugrana are 16/1 to repeat their midweek 5-0 win against Cueta, a result that would take them six points clear ahead of Real's match.

Villarreal are 8/11 to continue their recent form at home to Girona, while Osasuna's top-four hopes are 23/20 to be boosted as Los Rojillos head to rock-bottom Elche.
