Steve Clarke has announced his 26-man Scotland World Cup squad as the Tartan Army gear-up for their first appearance at FIFA's showpiece competition in almost three decades.
The 62-year-old was never likely to veer to far away from the tried and trusted group that sensationally beat Denmark at Hampden Park last November to rubber-stamp their trans-Atlantic ticket.
The vastly experienced Craig Gordon is included as one of the three goalkeepers at the age of 43, whilst there are also expected spots for skipper John McGinn and fellow international regulars Kieran Tierney, Andy Robertson, Scott McTominay, Lyndon Dykes and Lawrence Shankland.
Clarke's big dilemma was always going to surround who the fifth striker on the plane to the United States was going to be with Tommy Conway ruled out through injury, and it's Ross Stewart who has got the late nod thanks to his recent goalscoring heroics for Southampton.
The 29-year-old hadn't previously been called up to the Scotland squad since 2022, but will now hope to play a key role in his nation's fortunes over the coming weeks.
His inclusion means Hull City's Oli McBurnie has been left out, despite the Tigers frontman bagging 17 times to help his club reach the Championship play-off final this term.

Steve Clarke will be allowed to make changes to his 26-man squad right up until 24 hours ahead of the Tartan Army's World Cup opener against Haiti.
This means the Scotland boss will be able to replace any of the players named in his final squad should they succumb to injury or need to withdraw for any reason up until 02:00 (BST) on Saturday, June 13.
However, any replacement must come from the pool of players he named in his provisional 55-man group in mid-May.
