Stanley Cup odds: Florida Panthers favourites to win championship for first time

The Florida Panthers are odds-on favourites to beat Edmonton Oilers in a best-of-seven championship round series to claim their first ever Stanley Cup win.

The Florida Panthers, who will compete in their second Stanley Cup Final in a row after losing to the Vegas Golden Knights last season, are yet to win a championship in their 30-year history.

Standing in the way of the Panthers breaking their duck are five-time Stanley Cup winners Edmonton Oilers, who have reached the championship round for the first time 2006.

The Oilers won their last Stanley Cup in 1990, with their most recent final appearance coming in 2006.

Captain of the Oilers, NHL icon Connor McDavid will be desperate to get his hands on a first Stanley Cup to to elevate his standing in the sport to even greater heights.
