Stanley Cup odds: Carolina Hurricanes 6/1 betting favourites

Carolina Hurricanes have been priced up as the 6/1 favourites for the Stanley Cup ahead of this year's playoffs.

The 2006 winners finished second in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference and will take on New York Islanders in the first round of the playoffs.

Florida Panthers topped the division and they will take on Tampa Bay Lightning as they seek to go one better than last year's finals defeat.

In the Western Conference, last year's Stanley Cup winners Vegas Golden Knights finished fourth in the Pacific Division and they face a tough opponent in Dallas Stars, who topped the Central Division.

Vancouver Canucks are available at a double-figure price despite topping a strong Pacific Division and their best-of-seven tie against Nashville Predators could be one of the best matchups in the first round.
