In David Silva and Rodri, Manchester City have had two of the best Spanish footballers to have graced the game turn out for the club.
They occupy the top two spots, but who makes up the rest of City's top appearance makers from Spain?
Find out the 10 Spanish players with the most appearances for Manchester City below.
Part of the legendary quadrumvirate alongside Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero, there was a strong case that David Silva was the best of the bunch.
A wonderfully gifted playmaker, crucial to Manchester City's movement into their new era, Silva made 436 appearances for City, winning four Premier League titles.
Still a good three or four years off catching Silva, and not aided by an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered at the start of the season, Rodri has established himself as one of the best midfielders of his generation.
Never flashy, Rodri does all the basics of the game immaculately, constantly looking to move the ball around and chipping in with the odd goal, memorably scoring the winner in the UEFA Champions League final in 2023.
While Vinicius Jr was widely expected to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or, it was Spain midfielder Rodri who took the gong.
Born on the outskirts of Seville, Jesus Navas spent his whole footballing life in the south of Spain, and as someone suffering from chronic homesickness, the move from sunny Spain to rainy Manchester was a potentially challenging one.
Nevertheless, Navas settled quickly at the Etihad, becoming a reliable member of the Manchester City squad for four years before returning to Seville.
Signing in 2018, Laporte quickly established himself as a regular in the Manchester City back line, and only a lengthy injury disrupted his place in the team. Although it took time to regain his place, Laporte made 33 starts in 2021/22 to win a fourth Premier League title.
But with City's defensive arsenal expanding, Laporte was moved on to Saudi Arabia in 2023, with Al-Nassr signing the defender for XXXXm
Signed in 2012, Javi Garcia was largely used as a squad player in his two seasons in Manchester, though he did make 29 Premier League appearances in their 2013/14 title-winning campaign.
One of the few Spaniards to have turned out for City prior to Sheikh Mansour's purchase of the club, Javier Garrido spent three years in Manchester, though was phased out of the side following the club's takeover in 2008, making just 18 Premier League starts in his final two seasons before being moved on to Lazio.
While Sergio Aguero ensured the club had a constant source of goals for a decade, City spent a number of years trying to find a perfect addition to support the Argentinian, with the likes of Wilfried Bony, Nolito, Gabriel Jesus and Alvaro Negredo all arriving in the space of three seasons.
None had a lasting impact at the club with Jesus the pick of the bunch, spending five full seasons in Manchester, albeit never starting more than 22 Premier League games.
Negredo, however, lasted just one season. Despite arriving on the back of 89 La Liga goals in five seasons, Negredo never quite fit in at City, chipping in with nine goals in his only season, leaving as a Premier League winner.
After moving for around £20m as a 20-year-old, Ferran Torres looked like one for the future and was briefly deployed up front to address City's lack of depth in the position at the start of his second season.
But when Barcelona came knocking with around £50m, the bid proved too big to turn down, and Torres left after just a year in Manchester.
After spending time at a number of academies, including Espanyol, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City signed Sergio Gomez on a four-year contract in 2022, though the Spaniard struggled to break into the first-team squad, and was moved on to Real Sociedad in 2024.
A La Masia graduate, Eric Garcia was bought by Manchester City in 2017 as a 16-year-old. While he was given a taste of first-team action from 2018/19 to 2020/21, he never became a regular, and was re-signed by Barcelona on a free transfer in 2021.
