Shaun Murphy and Kyren Wilson are the last pair standing at Alexandra Palace and will do battle on Sunday for the Masters crown and the chance to lift the Paul Hunter Trophy.
The Magician lit up Ally Pally on Saturday afternoon by compiling a magnificent 147 maximum break en route to defeating Mark Allen 6-3 in the opening semi-final.
In the evening session, the Warrior was a winner on the same scoreline against world number one Judd Trump, Wilson reeling off the last four frames as he outscored his opponent by 355 points to just 15 after trailing 3-2 at the interval.
The 2015 winner, Murphy is a slight underdog at 6/5 to the best-of-19 final, while the current world champion Wilson trades at 4/6 to make up for disappointment in the 2018 final against Allen by winning his maiden Masters title.
Shaun Murphy to win @ 6/5
Murphy bosses the head-to-head from previous meetings, with 10 wins to Wilson's four.
Their most recent clash was the 2023 Tour Championship Final, where Murphy was a 10-7 winner.
Their most recent Triple Crown event meeting was the 2021 World Championship semi-final when the Magician ran out a 17-12 victor, while Wilson's highest profile win over Murphy was a last-16 win at the 2022 European Masters.
If Murphy can make a solid start, that historical record may begin to weigh on the world champion's mind.
There are also few players more clinical than Murphy when his confidence is high, which it certainly will be given his displays in the previous two rounds against Neil Robertson and Allen.
At odds-against, the value in this Masters decider sits with the underdog.
Total Frames Over 16.5 @ 4/5
The semi-finals didn't deliver tense finales, the like of which we saw plenty of in the opening rounds, but they were captivating just the same.
Murphy produced an epic 147 break in the afternoon and then Wilson stepped right up to derail Trump's hopes of winning all three Triple Crown events in the same season with some high-quality scoring in the evening.
It makes the final very tough to call. Wilson dodged a bullet in round one against Zhang Anda, where he was heavily outscored despite winning 6-4.
In the quarter-finals he faced the maverick that is Luca Brecel and the Kettering man almost came unstuck after having led 5-3 as he struggled to get over the finishing line.
He certainly didn't have any bother getting to the winning post on Saturday night, making breaks of over 70 in each of the final four frames as left Trump stuck in his chair.
Murphy has been purring all week, the 2005 World Championship winner is all class when he's in the groove and he will be hard to stop in that form.
There should be plenty of one-visit frame wins and this could be a Masters final that goes close to the distance.
147 Break In Match - Yes @ 9/1
Just 24 hours after Murphy compiled only the sixth maximum 147 break in the history of the Masters, could we see another?
Kirk Stevens recorded the first in 1984, while Ding Junhui (twice), Marco Fu and Allen have also achieved snooker perfection and Murphy is now the fifth player to do it.
Only Ronnie O'Sullivan (15), John Higgins (13) and Stephen Hendry (11) have made more maximums than Murphy's nine - Wilson has five, including at the 2023 World Championship.
Incredibly, Murphy's max came just a day after he'd faltered when trying to get from the 15th black to the yellow, under-hitting his shot to end up snookered behind the blue.
He indicated in his post-game interview that recording a 147 in a Triple Crown event this season was a goal and Murphy will be hugely motivated if a chance to become the first player to make two in the same event comes up.
Wilson, in such terrific scoring form in his own semi-final win, is showing enough touch amongst the balls to believe he could do it.
It's worth a sporting interest, while over 3.5 match centuries at 11/10 is fancied with both players in fine fettle in regards to the scoring side of the game.
