Owen Farrell is the captain of England's international rugby union team. Farrell has made 101 appearances for England's senior side and has scored 1,125 points in that time, making him the third-highest international point scorer in history.

Farrell was born in Billinge Higher End, an area within Wigan, Greater Manchester. His father, Andy Farrell was a rugby league great who then switched codes to rugby union when moving to Saracens.

When his father joined Saracens in 2005, Farrell and his family moved to Hertfordshire, which is where he was introduced to rugby union for the first time.

Owen Farrell was handed a four week ban by the RFU for a dangerous tackle in action for Saracens against Gloucester at the beginning of January, but this punishment has been reduced to three weeks with Farrell set to complete a World Rugby coaching intervention programme.
