The West Coast Eagles have thrown their support behind coach Adam Simpson and say he is the man to lead the rebuild of the club.
The Eagles are priced at 33/1 to play finals this season but there will be little chance of that as they sit 1-7 for the season with a clash against reigning premiers Melbourne next up.
Horrendous start
The Eagles, who won the premiership in 2018, have had a disastrous start to the season when winning just the one game, while they have also been on the wrong end of some heavy defeats.
They have not been helped by selection issues either as injury and sickness has robbed them of key players.

There have been some suggestions that maybe the Eagles should look to another coach to start the rebuild. However nothing could be further from the truth.
Keeping the faith
West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett says they have every faith in Simpson who will stay on as coach for sure.
"There is no chance that Adam won’t be coaching the football club going forward," Nisbett told SEN WA. "We have complete faith in our system and what we’ve been doing. We’re trying very hard to change the style of play.
"That doesn’t mean we’re going to get immediate results, particularly when we’re playing the upper echelon of the AFL. It is a brutal business, and we expect that there’s going to be a little bit more pain before we improve.
"I know our members are disappointed with our performances, and I know they get disappointed with some of the end results. But we’re working towards getting better, and that’s what Adam stands for at the present stage."
