Shakur Stevenson v Artem Harutyunyan Odds: Stevenson 4/6 to retain title

Unbeaten pound-for-pound star Shakur Stevenson is the odds-on favourite to make a successful first defence of his WBC lightweight world title against Artem Harutyunyan in New Jersey this weekend.

There's no doubting that Stevenson is one of the most talented and skilled operators in the business, and he will want to serve a timely reminder of his credentials after labouring to a points success over Edwin De Los Santos in November.

Of course, that victory secured him his first world title - the WBC lightweight strap - but it was a performance that still drew criticism from certain quarters.

The New Jersey native has vowed to be at his best this time around however, and is clearly targeting a stoppage success in his maiden title defence.

The 27-year-old, who has dispatched of 10 of his 21 opponents inside the distance, has been priced up at 4/6 to end the tough and durable Harutyunyan's hopes inside the distance this weekend, and 6/5 to get the job done on the scorecards.

Harutyumyan - born in Armenia and fighting out of Germany - succumbed to his first professional defeat at the hands of Frank Martin last summer, and will be keen to upset his 13/1 odds in what will be his first ever bout for world honours.
