Scottish Premiership 2025/26 fixtures released

The Scottish Premiership fixtures for the 2025/26 season have been released.

The season gets underway on 2nd August with Kilmarnock hosting newly promoted Livingston at 3pm with Motherwell hosting Rangers that evening at 5.30pm.

Celtic get their title defence underway at home to St Mirren on the Sunday at 4.30pm after Scottish Championship winners Falkirk host Dundee United (2pm) and Dundee host Hibernian (3pm).

The first round of fixtures concludes with Hearts v Aberdeen at 8pm on the Monday night.

Russell Martin's first Premiership game at Ibrox will be on 9th August against Dundee while his first taste of an Old Firm derby from the dugout will be on 31st August at 12pm.

The return fixture will be on 3rd January at 12.30pm with the pair meeting for the third and final time before the split on 28th February.

There will be no Boxing Day or New Year's Day fixtures in the 2025/26 season with Boxing Day falling on a Friday and New Year's Day falling on a Thursday, allowing a full roster of fixtures for the following weekends.

It means clubs will play on 20th, 27th and 30th December before the first game of 2026 on 3rd January.

The final fixtures before the split take place on 11th April with Aberdeen hosting Hibernian, Celtic hosting St Mirren, Livingston travelling to Dundee United, Falkirk playing host to Rangers, Hearts welcoming Motherwell and Kilmarnock facing Dundee.

The season picks up again a fortnight later on 25th April with the first round of post-split fixtures.

New to the 2025/26 season is a rule change that allows any team in a European play-off tie to reschedule their league match that falls in between the first and second legs of their 23rd August fixture.

The fixtures falling on that date are:

Celtic v Livingston
Dundee United v Aberdeen
Falkirk v Hibernian
Hearts v Motherwell
Kilmarnock v Dundee
St Mirren v Rangers

Celtic and Aberdeen will have European commitments then, while Rangers, Hibernian and Dundee United could all have play-off ties.
