The Scottish Open may have undertaken numerous name changes over the years, but it remains a staple of the World Snooker Tour's annual calendar to this very day.
Many of the biggest names to have ever graced the green baize have tasted success in the event, with the great Steve Davis being crowned the inaugural winner back in 1981.
'The Nugget' went on to be lift the coveted trophy a further five times before drawing the curtain on his illustrious career, making him the most revered player in Scottish Open history.
Other stars to have captured multiple titles include Scottish icons Stephen Hendry (three) and John Higgins (two), whilst Ronnie O'Sullivan is a two-time winner.
Jimmy White, Mark Selby and Neil Robertson all boast winning pedigree in the event too, as does Gary Wilson, the current back-to-back champion who successfully defended his 2022 crown with a 9-5 triumph over Noppon Saengkham last time out.
