Scotland and Poland will get their respective Nations League A campaigns underway when they meet at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

Steve Clarke's Scots sealed promotion to League A after winning their 2022/23 Nations League B group which contained Ukraine, Republic of Ireland and Armenia, whilst Poland were able to retain their place in the top tier.

Both nations will hope to bounce back from disappointing Euros campaigns, with both Scotland and Poland knocked out in the group stages in Germany.

Hosts Scotland are 29/20 favourites to win in Glasgow, with Poland 21/10 outsiders.

The Scots' most winnable match on paper in Nations League A, with fixtures against Portugal and Croatia to come, Steve Clarke's side may look to take the game to Poland in front of their home supporters.

There are suggestions ex-Kilmarnock boss Clarke is set to move away from the back five formation he has preferred for the majority of his Scotland tenure to date and deploy a four-man defence for the visit of the Poles.

This could see Scotland play more expansively, but perhaps be more open at the back, with odds of 5/1 for the hosts to win with Both Teams to Score at Hampden.

Scott McTominay will be one of Scotland's biggest goal threats, with the new Napoli signing hitting an impressive seven goals in Euro 2024 qualifying.

The former Manchester United midfielder was also Scotland's sole goalscorer at the Euros finals in Germany, with national team manager Clarke giving the 27-year-old license to make attacking runs into the box at will.

McTominay is given odds of 7/2 to score at anytime against Poland.

With six draws in 11 meetings, Scotland and Poland are typically evenly matched, with this Nations League A curtain raiser unlikely to be any different.
